About Vaughan

Vaughan Liddicoat is the founder of Ballroom Mastery and a four-time World Professional 10 Dance representative for Australia (2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016), as well as an Australian Professional Latin, Ballroom and New Vogue finalist.

He took his first steps under the guidance of Penny de Kauwe, who learned from the late Alex Moore, one of the pioneers of Ballroom technique. Over years of lessons, coaching and mentoring, Penny passed that knowledge on to him.

In his first five years Vaughan went from absolute beginner to Open Grade in Ballroom, Latin American and New Vogue, one of the fastest rises in Australian DanceSport history. He was awarded the prestigious B.B.M. Ballroom Dance Scholarship, which took him to the UK to compete at the Blackpool Dance Festival and train with the world's leading coaches, including former multiple World Champions Richard and Anne Gleave, and Michael Stylianos and Lorna Lee.

He later moved to London to chase the goal of representing Australia in 10 Dance, and co-founded DSI-London.TV, one of the world's first live-streaming dance channels and on-demand dance lesson websites.

Today Vaughan teaches dancers around the world through Ballroom Mastery: free lessons on YouTube, the Mastery Membership with the Technique Vaults, the Mastery Genie and the Mastery Circle community, and programs like Foundations: Fix Your Frame.

From humble beginnings to championship-level dancing, his passion is helping you reach beyond what you think is possible.
